Following a stint working with the law firm of his uncle, who was a renowned lawyer, litigator, and community leader in Steubenville, Ohio, the law firm’s founding partner, Robert W. King, decided to return to Westmoreland County where the King family lived for generations.

In 1981, Rob established the law firm in Greensburg and quickly established himself as one of the premier litigators in Westmoreland County and a highly respected adversary among his peers. Over more than four decades, Rob has tried countless jury and non-jury trials and built a strong reputation of success and as a leader in the legal community.

For his skill in the courtroom, Rob was elected by his peers as a member of the prestigious Westmoreland Academy of Trial Lawyers in 1994.

Bradley A. King

Brad King is a partner of the law firm and he is the third generation and fifth member of the King family to practice law.  Like most of the King family before him, Brad’s practice focuses on civil litigation in state courts and federal courts.  He represents clients in cases involving personal injuries and wrongful death, nursing home abuse, workers’ compensation, real estate transactions and litigation, estate planning and business law and transactions.  In his extensive litigation work, Brad has represented many individuals and businesses in a wide variety of estate litigation, real estate and contract disputes, title insurance litigation, workers’ compensation cases, and personal injury/wrongful death cases.  He has successfully litigated numerous cases in both jury and non-jury trials in courts throughout Pennsylvania.  Brad has also successfully argued many cases on appeal before the Pennsylvania Superior Court and the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court.

In addition to his litigation work, Brad assists clients with estate planning and administration and he advises businesses on commercial and contract law, including the sale/purchase, structuring or re-structuring all types of business entities.  Brad also guides clients through all aspects of the estate administration process as well as real estate transactions, which involves negotiating the terms, resolving title defects prior to closing, and conducting closings.

Prior to joining King Legal Group, Brad worked for Judge Joseph Farnan, Jr. of the United States District Court for the District of Delaware and one of the largest litigation law firms in Maryland.

He is a member of the Bar Associations of Westmoreland County, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.  He is admitted to practice before the courts of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the State of New Jersey, and the United States District Courts for the Western, Middle, and Eastern Districts of Pennsylvania.  In 2014, Brad was also admitted to practice and argue cases before the United States Supreme Court.

In 2015, Attorney King was inducted into the Million Dollar Advocates Forum®, The Top Trial Lawyers in America®, which recognizes trial lawyers who have won verdicts or settlements of more than one million dollars.

Tanner M. Yawitz

Tanner joined King Legal Group as an associate attorney in 2023, following his graduation from Penn State Law School with numerous academic and trial advocacy honors and awards.  During law school, Tanner placed a strong emphasis on trial advocacy through both his courses and practical experience.

He received the prestigious CALI award for his work in Trial Advocacy, which is awarded to the highest scoring student in the class, and he was selected by faculty to compete on the law school’s National Mock Trial Team in 2022.  The law school faculty also recognized Tanner for his superior skill in trial advocacy by electing him as the recipient of The International Academy of Trial Lawyers Award, which is awarded to the graduating student who demonstrates the most outstanding ability in trial advocacy.  He was also inducted into The Order of Barristers, a highly selective society recognizing the students who exhibit the most outstanding skill in trial advocacy, oral argument, and legal writing.

In addition to his honors for his exceptional skill in the courtroom, Tanner was inducted into the Order of the Coif and the Woolsack Honor Society for his academic excellence and achievements, including his graduation within the top 10% of his class.

During law school, Tanner also served as a Student Works Editor for the Penn State Law Journal for Law and International Affairs and a Teaching Assistant for the course “National Security Law II – Leadership in Crisis Simulation” under Professor Vice Admiral James Houck (Ret.).  Tanner honed his legal skills through practical legal experience with his work for Judge Katherine Oliver of the Centre County Court of Common Pleas and Federal Judge Kim Gibson of the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.  He also interned at the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office and GTC Law Group.

Before studying law, Tanner grew up in New Stanton, Pennsylvania and graduated from Hempfield Area High School.  He received his degree in chemistry from Saint Francis University in Loretto, Pennsylvania.
